Many hardened criminals and about half dozen Maoist rebels are lodged in Garwah jail.
“It seems that the criminals were planning to escape from the jail,” Satyendra Singh told reporters.
Garwah Deputy Commissioner Vijay Kumar Singh has constituted a three-member team to probe how the explosives reached the jail premises.
