New Delhi: India has told the United States to ensure its aid to Pakistan is not used by the country against its neighbours, especially given previous such examples, External Affairs Minister S.M.Krishna said Monday.
“We have brought to the notice of the United States, particularly with regard to Pakistan, that arms and armaments (given by US) are invariably directed against India,” Krishna told reporters.
He was answering a query on Pakistan looking for advanced drone technology from the US.
Krishna said that India did not want this region to go into an “armament competition”. He said that it was the “primary responsibility” of the US to ensure that aid given to another country is “being used for the purpose being sanctioned”.
