Rizvi, the daughter of former UP BJP minister Aizaz Rizvi, breathed her last on Wednesday at the Sanjay Gandhi Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI) in Lucknow where she was undergoing treatment after suffering brain hemorrhage on August 11 inside the Legislative Council. On last day of the monsoon session of the Council, as the House was about to adjourn sine die, Rizvi, a spinster, suffered brain hemorrhage. She turned unconscious and was noticed by Chairman Sukhram Singh. She was immediately rushed to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the SGPGI where she was operated upon by a team of neurosurgeons the same day. Though the doctors had successfully removed the blockade, her condition remained critical. After struggling for life in an unconscious state for eight days, Sheema Rizvi breathed her last on August 19.
