Chennai : Digvijay Singh’s team, comprising three amateurs Muthukumaran, Venkatakrishnan and R.Raja, tallied 123 points to win the Pro-Am event of the PGTI-125th Year Madras Gymkhana Club Tamil Nadu Open golf, here Sunday.
The Pro-Am event was played on a four-ball team Stableford format wherein the professional score was compulsory along with two best amateur scores out of three amateurs on a hole by hole basis.
PGTI member Gaurav Pratap Singh’s team were the first runners-up with a score of 119 points. Gaurav’s team comprised of amateurs Venkatesh Rajgopal, Ishwar Achanta and
V. Sanjay Kumar.
PGTI member Kunal Bhasin’s team of Arjun Rao, P. Mukherjee and Shiv Mundy finished second runners-up with a score of 114 points.
PGTI member C. Muniyappa won the prize for the best professional based on Stableford points. He secured 41 points.
