New Delhi : Over 7,000 scientists from India and abroad will congregate at Thiruvananthapuram Jan 3 to talk about the challenges of science and technology in the 21st century.
According to a letter written by former Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) chief G. Madhavan Nair to a number of central government ministries, ISRO and the University of Kerala at Thiruvananthapuram are organising the 97th Indian Science Congress Jan 3-7, 2010.
“The theme of the congress will be Science and Technology Challenges of 21st Century – National Perspective,” Nair, who is now the president of the ISC, said.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will most probably inaugurate this edition of the science congress. During the five-day event, the children science congress will also take place to promote the mindset of innovation among students.
