The sources said Abdullah had written a letter to Minister of State for External Affairs Shashi Tharoor informing him about the complaints made by the pilgrims from the state.

The chief minister, who had received the first batch of the Haj pilgrims on their return in Srinagar Thursday, said he was told by the pilgrims that there were inadequate arrangements for their stay and many facilities were not available to them.
