Bangalore : The concluding round of the MAK Indian National Rally Championship for two-wheelers will be run here Sunday with two TVS works team riders, KP Aravind (56 points) and Pramod Joshua (52) locked in a close battle for the Overall title.
The Karnataka-1000 rally, to be held at the Ram Farms over 120 Kms, consists of two Special Stages – Mulberry (10.92 Kms) and Silk (8.95 Kms) that will be covered four times.
In the 2-stroke overall classification, Harish.S has already sealed the Championship with 50 points, as against 27 of Nanda Gopal S, while in the Group D (4- stroke up to 130cc) class, Venu Rameshkumar (26), points, Varun SS (24) and Ravikiran (16) are involved in a three-cornered contest for the top honours.
The competition is expected to be fierce in the other classes with the top honours very much up for grabs.
The INRC series is being promoted by Bangalore-based India Mines Group – Pro-Sports Promotion combine and sponsored by Bharat Petroleum through its brand MAK Lubricants.
