New Delhi : The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a Delhi Police inspector for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.3,000 for closing a cheque-bouncing case, an official said Tuesday.
“The officer (posted at the Preet Vihar police station) was demanding a bribe of Rs. 3,000 from the complainant for closing a case of bounced cheque,” said a CBI spokesman here.
The accused was produced before the court of Special Judge CBI in Karkardooma which sent him to judicial custody.
