Bangalore: Campus Front of India, the newly formed youth wing of Popular Front of India, will make broad alliances with likeminded progressive social groups along with active intervention in social issues. The decision was taken at its first National Committee meeting held on 26th December in Bangalore.
The National Committee of Campus Front decided to strengthen the organization in different states. The meeting was attended by National Committee members from across the country. They included Adv. Mohammed Yusuff, President, C.A. Raoof, Vice President, Anisujjaman, General Secretary, Asif Mirza, Secretary, Mateenudden, Treasurer and other National Committee members.
The committee adopted a resolution on Misra Commission report and demanded its immediate implementation.
“The proper implementation of the recommendation can benefit in giving socio-educational justice to the marginalized people,” said Anisujjaman, General Secretary. “But we fear that the report will face the same fate as earlier commission reports,” he added.
The recommendations of the Misra Commission should be implemented immediately. The government should prove its commitment towards the development of minorities and should show the political will to go ahead to implement the recommendations, Campus Front demanded.
