ISTANBUL : Recep Tayyip Erdogan recieved a letter of appreciation from Hamas for the “courageous” preformance against Israel and for Turkey’s generous donations during and after the Israeli incursion in Gaza, and for Erdogan’s stance at the world economic forum in Davos. On a Turkish News website posted Monday, a letter from Ahmed Yousef the political adviser to Ismail Haniya, the expelled Palestenian prime minister, addressed to Erdogan stated “We have emerged from beneath a barrage of death and destruction a stronger nation … one that is honored to count Turkey among its friends. We thank you, without condition or reservation, for being a man of honor in the cause of truth and justice.” The letter also came in favor of Turkey, and its positive position especially the strategic relation between Israel and Turkey. Whereas Hamas was also thankful for the political advisor of the Turkish PM Ahmet Davutoglu for his actions to seek solutions as he traveled between Damascus, Cairo and the cities of Europe.
