GENEVA : Palestinian Minister of Health Dr. Fathi Abu Moghl told reporters Monday that the Palestinian Authority has formally requested from the World Health Organization (WHO) to send a mission of enquiry into the health situation in Gaza.
He stressed in a news conference here that Israel has used forbidden weapons against densely populated areas and directly against civilians during the war in Gaza.
Dr. Fathi Abu Moghl noted that the Palestinians need the international community to prove the use by Israel of such weapons.
He called upon the world to send specialized doctors in war injuries, plastic surgery and others to help the injured in Gaza.
Palestinian head of the Observer mission to the UN in Geneva Dr. Ibrahim Khraishi announced that the Human Rights Council’s mission of enquiry will be announced soon and that it will include a respected military expert to say his word on the weapons used by Israel in Gaza.
