The session would be the last ahead of the polls and would adopt three resolutions on the country’s “sagging” economy, the political situation and the turmoil in Sri Lanka, BJP spokesperson Ravi Shanker Prasad told reporters here Wednesday.

While the national executive would meet Friday and Saturday, the national council would meet the next day. The national executive comprises the central office-bearers of the party. It also has state unit presidents and leaders of legislature parties.

Prasad said the resolution on Sri Lankan crisis would address the “government’s failure” to protect the rights of Tamils there, while the one on economic recession would take “the Congress (government) to task” for increasing unemployment and rising prices.

The executive would adopt a political resolution condemning the government’s “non-performance”, he said.
