The mother told police that she had seen someone entering her room and killing her son Sarthak Chawla.

“She said, ‘I saw a man coming inside the room. He killed my son. His back was towards me, so I could not see his face. I fainted. He attempted to kill me. I realised that my body was not supporting me. I saw him leaving the room’,” Superintendent of Police Anant Dev said.

Sarthak, the son of a homoeopath doctor, was hammered to death and his 28-year-old mother was was stabbed many times.

The incident came to light when a milkman did not get any response at Rajesh Adeeb Chawla’s house in Satyadeep Apartments in the posh Raj Nagar area and informed the security guard. A hammer and a screw driver were found lying near the spot.

“We still have no clues in this mysterious incident,” said Dev.
