Nagpur : The Nov 26 attack in Mumbai was not possible without local support to the Pakistani terrorists, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi said here Sunday, questioning the central government’s position. Asked if this was Modi’s own opinion, BJP vice-president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi told IANS: “The party has also said many times that the attack was not possible without assistance from here.”

India has maintained that the attack was planned on Pakistani soil and there was no support from locals.

Targetting the ruling party, Modi said: “There is a conspiracy to promote one family in the Congress and this is dangerous for the country.”

He avoided naming the Nehru-Gandhi family.

BJP leader L.K. Advani also made a similar remark at the meeting, stating that his party was not led by a dynasty, and added that: “I don’t mean only the Congress.”

Modi said: “We have reached where we are on our won. The BJP is not a single-family party.”
