New Delhi : The Samajwadi Party Friday said the final decision on any pre-poll alliance with the Congress in Uttar Pradesh would be made in two days.
“The final picture of the proposed alliance with the Congress would emerge in two days,” Samajwadi Party general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav told reporters.
Asked if there will be an alliance or not, Yadav said: “We want to have an alliance with the Congress. Now, it is up to the Congress to decide on it.”
He also announced the names of five more party candidates from Uttar Pradesh for the Lok Sabha elections. They are Kamlesh Valmiki (Bulandshahr), Chander Pal Yadav (Jhansi), Durga Prasad Yadav (Azamgarh), Daroga Prasad Saroj (sitting MP, Lal Ganj) and S.T. Hasan from (Moradabad).
The Samajwadi Party has so far announced candidates for 58 of Uttar Pradesh’s 80 seats.
