A division bench comprising Justices P.K. Mishra and K. Chandru passed the order.

The police on Thursday arrested one lawyer and registered cases against 20 others in the matter.

Lawyers sympathetic to the Tamil Tigers Tuesday hurled rotten eggs at Swamy inside the Madras High Court in the presence of the judges and shouted anti-India slogans.

A section of the lawyers have been holding protests over the sufferings of the civilian Tamils in Sri Lanka due to the war between the government forces and the Tamil Tigers.

Meanwhile, state Electricity Minister Arcot N. Veerasamy informed the state assembly that police would arrest film director Seeman for making inflammatory and anti-India speeches. A case is pending against Seeman in Pondicherry on the same matter.
