New Delhi : A man wanted in more than 32 cases of extortion, kidnapping, attempt to murder, robbery and criminal intimidation was arrested here, the police said Friday.
Khalil Ahmed, who was arrested Thursday, was demanding Rs.1 million as extortion from a businessman of Khari Baoli area in north Delhi, the police said.
“Ahmed is involved in more than 32 cases of heinous crimes including extortion, kidnapping, attempt to murder, robbery/dacoity and criminal intimidation. A Lancer car has been recovered from his possession,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Alok Kumar said.
