New Delhi: Taking a lead the Kerala government has decided to acquire 400 acres in Malappuram for an off-campus centre of the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). The university has recently decided to set up 5 centres across the country.
According to The Hindu the Left Democratic Front (LDF) government of Kerala decided today to acquire 400 acres at Perinthalmanna in Malappuram for the AMU centre.
Four other AMU centres will be set up in Murshidabad (West Bengal), Katihar (Bihar), Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) and Pune (Maharashtra). These states haven’t yet allocated land for the AMU centre.
