Lahore : Pakistan has appointed an official administrator for Jamaat-ud-Daawa (JuD) after taking over control of the organisation’s defunct headquarters, a media report said Sunday.
Lahore Division Commissioner Khusro Pervaiz accompanied by other officials visited JuD headquarter Markaz-e-Taiba at Muridke and took a round of the institutions set up there, Geo TV reported.
He appointed Khaqan Babar as administrator of the Markaz, who would manage its social, charitable and welfare organisations.
Khaqan Babar told Geo News that his appointment was aimed at administering the institutions located at the Markaz so that the beneficiaries of these organizations were not affected.
Some 170 people were killed in the Nov 26-29 Mumbai terror attacks, which India has blamed on JuD militants in Pakistan.
