Mumbai : India’s Engineering and construction major Punj Lloyd bagged a Rs.1,263 crore ($378 million) contract to build two key metro stations in Singapore, the company said Wednesday.
The contract, awarded by the Singapore Land Transport Authority to Punj Lloyd’s wholly owned subsidiary Sembawang Engineers and Constructors, is for building Botanic Gardens and Stevens stations.
“Sembawang has constructed almost a third of all metro train stations and 21 percent of all tracks in Singapore,” said Atul Punj, chairman of the Punj Lloyd group.
The scope of work includes design and construction of the two stations and a one-km twin-bored tunnel linking both stations.
With this contract, the order book of Punj Lloyd group on a consolidated basis stands at Rs.2,207 crore.
