Bangkok : Twenty-six people were killed Saturday in a pile-up involving a passenger bus and six cars on a highway in southern Thailand, the police said.
The accident occurred at around 2.00 a.m. on the Phetchakasem Road in the Prachuap Khirikhan province, some 250 km southwest of Bangkok.
The police said the bus rammed into the standing cars at a traffic signal.
The cause of the accident was not immediately known.
