New Delhi: A man from Nepal has been arrested on the charge of killing his employer for not paying his salaries for five months and then killing the prime witness to the murder, police said here Saturday.
“The accused, Ram Lama, a resident of Nepal, was arrested from near Kashmere Gate interstate bus terminal Friday,” a police officer said.
Lama had allegedly killed his employer Ram Prasad and murder eyewitness Raju Kancha in January. All three are from Patisora village in Nepal.
“Lama used to work in a chowmin shop. On interrogation, he confessed the crime and disclosed that Ram Prasad was his employer and had not paid his salaries for five months. He told us that he was in dire need of money as he wanted to visit Nepal to see his family,” the police officer said.
“So he killed Ram Prasad and also murdered his colleague Raju because he was the witness. Moreover, Ram Prasad had given Rs.3,000 to Raju but not to Lama, which infuriated him and that is why he wanted to take revenge,” the police officer added.
