In an interview with a private TV Channel, Malik said all the parliamentarians and the entire nation have condemned the attacks. The US must accept Pakistan’s demand to halt the drone attacks.

He added that “Pakistan can catch Osama Bin Laden if US provides us information” about his whereabouts.

The security forces have seized US and Russian made weapons in the Swat, North and South Waziristan and in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) during offensives against the Taliban. The weapons include anti-tank aircraft guns that need end-user certificates, which can only be issued by a state, the Online news agency reported citing Malik as saying.

He said the Taliban has been plotting against the government for last eight to nine years and the government would not allow Taliban chief Baitullah Mehsud to escape.

More than 500 Taliban fighters have been captured in the ongoing operations against the militants, he added.
