Muslim English periodical brings out special issue on AMU alumni

Patna: An especial issue of English magazine “Islam, Muslim and the World” on the alumni of the Aligarh Muslim University was released today by Vice Chancellor Prof Abdul Azis in Aligarh.

The especial piece of the magazine highlights the activities of AMU in a nice way. It also carries yeoman services of its alumni for the community and nation such as Vice President of India Mr. Hamid Ansari, famous scientist Professor Sayed Zohoor Qasim, Professor Ubaid Siddiqee, former union minister Mohsina Qidwai, former union minister for state Mr. Ali Ashraf Fatmi, former judge of Supreme Court Mr. R.P Sethi, former AMU vice chancellor Mr. Sayed Hamid and famous law expert and member of Law Commission Mr. Tahir Mahmood.
Speaking on the occasion AMU VC Mr. Abdul Azis said that Islam is the religion of peace and brotherhood but there are many misunderstanding about Islam among people of other religions. The especial issue of “Islam, Muslim and the World” may help many people to clean their minds about Islam. He assured every kind of help to Dr. Javed Jameel, the editor of the magazine.
Dr. Shakeel Samdani, coordinator of General Education Centre, said that since first day of its publication the magazine gave especial concentration on AMU and this especial issue is proof of that.

Expressing his feeling Dr. Javed Jameel said: “We are publishing this magazine for an especial mission and to highlight the AMU activities is part of that because AMU is similar to Cambridge University among Muslims of the world. He also announced to publish an especial issue of the magazine on Sir. Syed Ahmad Khan on the occasion of Sir Syed Day.
