Six troopers injured in Chhattisgarh Maoist ambush
Raipur: Maoists guerrillas ambushed a team of paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Sunday in Chhattisgarh’s Bastar region, injuring at least six troopers.
The attack took place in violence-hit Dantewada district when a vehicle carrying eight CRPF personnel ran over a powerful land mine, Pawan Deo, deputy inspector general police, told IANS.
The blast took place late evening at Ganesh Pahar hilly area between Barsoor-Geedam locality. A strong back-up contingent of about 80-100 CRPF men was sent to the spot.
