By DPA,
Baghdad : Four civilians were killed Monday and 13 injured when a bomb exploded near a vegetable market here, a police source said.
The source said that the explosion took place in the wholesale al-Rasheed market in al-Dura neighbourhood of southern Baghdad.
This is the second attack in less than a month at the same market. On May 6 a car bomb went off at the market killing 12 and injuring 44.
Al-Dura was a focus of sectarian fighting during the worst of the Iraqi civil war in 2006-2007, and was at times controlled by members of the international terrorist network al-Qaeda.
The area had been relatively calm for the past 18 months.
