The chief minister said that “mission convergence” would provide social justice in the best coordinated way to ensure that the under-privileged and the poor regularly receive welfare services for both sustainable growth and eradication of poverty though convergence of organising, joining forces, facilitating and making communities voices heard effectively, according to an official release.

Mission convergence is an attempt to lay the foundation for the proper psychological, physical and social development of the poor and unheard communities, she added.

The chief minister said that the nine Delhi Development Goals are to eradicate extreme poverty and hunger, achieve universal elementary education, promote gender equality and empower women, reduce child mortality, improve maternal health, combat HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases, ensure environmental sustainability, strengthen Bhagidari and improve public safety.
