Jammu : The Jammu and Kashmir council of ministers will be expanded as soon as alliance partner Congress prepares its final list of legislators to be inducted in the ministry, which was sworn in January this year.

The top leadership of both the ruling alliance parties – National Conference and Congress – told IANS that the ministerial expansion could take place “any time”.

“We are ready with our list, we are waiting for the Congress list,” Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said.

Pradesh Congress Committee chief Saif-ud-Din Soz, a former union minister, has come to the state and has the list with him.

He said the expansion would take place “soon, in the next couple of days”.

” It is all get set go,” he told IANS.

There are clear indications that more than ten legislators will find place in the presently ten-member Omar Abdullah ministry.

The names of the ministers, however, are still under wraps.
