Islamabad : Five people were killed Monday when a suicide blast ripped through an Islamic seminary in southwestern Pakistan, Geo TV reported.
At least a dozen people were also injured in the blast that occurred during a discourse in Kali Karbala area in Balochistan’s Pishin district, some 60 km north of provincial capital Quetta.
According to the report, the bomber blew himself up soon after Maulana Mohammad Khan Sherani, the provincial chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, concluded his address at the seminary.
Sherani escaped unhurt in the attack.
