Brussels : A Pakistani delegation led by its foreign minister will hold a meeting with three senior officials of the European Union (EU) in Prague Friday to discuss EU-Pakistan ties and other issues, the EuAsiaNews has reported.
The meeting will be attended by Czech Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg, Director for Asia of the European Commission’s External Relations James Moran and Helga Schmid, the Policy Unit Director of the General Secretariat of the EU Council.
The Pakistani delegation will be led by Foreign Affairs Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi.
Carl Bildt, the Foreign Minister of Sweden, which will take over the EU presidency from Czech Republic in July, has also agreed to participate in the meeting.
EU-Pakistan relations, political and security issues in Pakistan and other current regional and international issues will top the agenda of the meeting, an EU statement said Monday.
