The Congress’ media in-charge Digvijay Singh told reporters that three CDs, using the song, were released Friday and six more would be released soon.

The film for the party’s campaign has been prepared by advertising agency JWT. However, the party’s general secretary Rahul Gandhi does not figure in it.

“He will be there in the real and the main campaign,” Singh said.

Singh said the Congress, right from the pre-independence period, made efforts to empower the common man as the party believed the country would be strengthened as they were empowered, he said.

“Congress has always stood for the common man and the country, though the steps taken by Congress for the common man have been opposed from time to time by different political parties,” he added.
