Two Jammu agitation leaders likely to contest polls

Jammu : Two leading faces of the Jammu agitation of last year for restoration of a piece of land to the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board are likely to contest the Lok Sabha elections as Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates, party sources said here Friday.

Leela Karan Sharma, the convenor of the Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangharsh Samiti (SAYSS) that successfully led the agitation, is likely to contest from the Jammu-Poonch constituency, while leading physician and Samiti spokesperson Jeetendra Singh is tipped to be fielded from the Doda-Udhampur constituency, they said.
