A bench of Chief Justice K.G. Balakrishnan, Justice P. Sathasivam and Justice R.M. Lodha reserved the verdict after arguments for two hours from various parties, including Dutt’s counsel Harish Salve, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) counsel Additional Solicitor General Gopal Subramanium and several other senior lawyers who opposed Dutt’s plea.

The apex court is likely to announce its verdict in a day or two.

Dutt was convicted for possessing arms, in connection with the Mumbai blasts in 1993.
