Chandigarh : Janta Party president and former law minister Subramanian Swamy Wednesday said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) cannot be termed as a communal party.
Swamy told reporters that there was a need to “consolidate Hinduism” as money has been sent from Western countries “to woo Hindus to embrace Christianity”.
A former Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh activist, Swamy said his party was supporting the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections “as the two have common ideologies and share similar aims of economic development, national security and good governance”.
Lashing out at the Congress, he said that “its leadership is incompetent in handling terrorism as the party itself is dominated by leaders with terrorist links”.
