New Delhi: Three Muslim students have been selected for the Summer Internship Programme-2009 to be conducted by National Human Rights Commission (NHRC). NHRC has selected a total of 50 students for the program.
Ms. Afshan Bi from Goa, Ms. Samreen from Uttrakhand and Mohd. Nazim Khalid Khan from Maharashtra are among the selected candidates.
The programme is scheduled to be held from 18th May, 2009 to 16th June, 2009.
The Summer Internship Programme, introduced by NHRC in 1998, is held every year during summer vacation in the universities for the university students. It is an annual feature aimed at giving the students an exposure to human rights issues.
