Jamia Millia student to represent India in journalism program in Finland

New Delhi: Dipu Shaw, student of MA (Final) in Convergent Journalism at Jamia Millia Islamia, has been selected to represent India at the 18th Foreign Correspondents’ Programme (FCP) at Helsinki, Finland.

Dipu Shaw was selected in an all India selection process conducted by the Embassy of Finland for this prestigious programme. Newly graduated journalists or last year students of journalism from 19 countries have been invited to participate in the FCP in Finland from 1 to 31 August 2009. For the third time in a row, a student of Jamia’s AJK Mass Communication Research Centre (MCRC) has been selected to represent the country at the program held at Helsinki, Finland.

Adding another feather to the university, three students of MA (Final) Convergent Journalism, Neha Sethi, Kunal Majumder and Sumiran Preet Kaur, have been selected for Journalism Exchange Programme at Sciences Po University in Paris.

Students may choose from postgraduate courses in mass communication, development communication, convergent journalism, broadcast system maintenance, still photography and graphics and animations.
