Fewer cheating cases in Class 10 CBSE exam this year

New Delhi : The number of cheating cases in the Central Board of Secondary Education Examination (CBSE) Class 10 exam has dipped to less than half the figure last year. Nonetheless, Delhi has topped the list.

According to CBSE spokesperson Rama Sharma, the number of unfair means cases last year in the six regions – Ajmer, Panchkula, Delhi, Guwahati, Chennai and Allahabad – totalled 37. This year, the number dipped to 16.

Delhi recorded six cheating cases, while Ajmer recorded none.

In Class 12 too, Delhi had recorded the maximum number of cheating cases – 16 out of 58.

CBSE declared its Class 10 results for three zones of Delhi, Guwahati and Allahabad Friday. The results for the other three regions had been declared Tuesday.
