Lucknow : Girls outperformed boys in the Uttar Pradesh board Class 10 exams, the results of which were declared Saturday.
“The total pass percentage of girls is 67.69 while that of boys is 48.44,” Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board director K.M. Tripathi told reporters in Allahabad.
The overall pass percentage was 56.67, which is about 16 percentage points more than last year, he added.
Mathura district recorded the highest pass percentage of 80.05 percent. It was 45.98 percent in Lucknow, said Tripathi.
The lowest pass percentage (33.98) was recorded in Chitrakoot district, followed by Pilibhit district (36.98 percent).
