Shimla : Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat is set to visit the Himachal Pradesh capital for two days starting Nov 7, the organisation’s spokesperson said Monday.
“RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat will reach Shimla Nov 7. Besides reviewing the functioning of various state wings of the organisation, he will also hold meetings with representatives of social and religious organisations,” said the spokesperson.
Bhagwat will stay at the Peterhoff Hotel, where the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the RSS’ political front, took the decision to expel party leader Jaswant Singh over his book “Jinnah: India, Partition, Independence” during its Chintan Baithak (introspection meeting) held in August.
Bhagwat is one of the youngest leaders to head the RSS so far.
