Ranchi : A huge cache of arms were recovered from a house in Bokaro district of Jharkhand Tuesday, police said.
In a joint operation with Patna police, Bokaro police raided a house situated at Bari cooperative area.
“We have recovered one AK 47, three Insas rifle, three hand grenades, 32,000 live cartridges and Maoist literature in the raid,” Patna Deputy Superintendent of Police Pankaj Kumar told reporters.
Kumar was a part of the team which raided the house.
The arms were recovered from two rooms of Subodh Kumar, who stays there on rent. No one has been arrested in the raid.
“In Bihar, huge arms were recovered last week and an arrested Maoist rebel had revealed the places where arms and weapons were kept to disrupt the assembly poll of Jharkhand,” another police officer said.
The assembly polls in Jharkhand begin Nov 25.
