Karnataka, Gujarat on top after a round of draws

New Delhi : Poor light robbed Railways of some crucial points against Himachal Pradesh as only 19 overs were possible and both teams ended up with one point each in the Ranji Trophy Super League match here Friday.

Himachal were struggling at 145 for four in the first innings, chasing Railways’ 419, when bad light called for an early stumps after only 19 overs were bowled on the fourth and the final day at the Karnail Singh Stadium.

None of the matches in the Super League had any result, but Karnataka bagged three curcial points, for their first innings lead, against Delhi to sit atop Group B with eight points at the Roshanara Club here.

In Group A, Gujarat bagged three crucial points, courtesy their first innings lead against Tamil Nadu in Ahmedadabd and are now sitting on top of the points table in Group A with six points.
