Popular Front activists come out to clean Bangalore streets

New Delhi: As part of its 15-days National Public Health Campaign, about 100 activists of Popular Front of India today came out to clean streets in the capital city of Bangalore in Karnataka.

PFI carried “Healthy People Healthy Nation” a national public health awareness campaign 1 to 15th November 2009. The aim of the campaign was to create public awareness about the importance of physical and health care and also people’s role in keeping the environment clean, pollution free and hygienic.

As a part of this campaign, Popular Front of India’s Chamrajpet Division carried out cleaning work in Bangalore areas of New Guddadahalli, Devarajurs Nagar, Vinayaka Nagar, Janatha Colony & Old Guddadahalli on 12th November. Today on 14th Novembe, the same division again carried the cleaning work in several other areas like Padrayanapura’s 8th Main, 9th Main, 13th Cross and Arafath Nagar’s 13th Cross.

PFI held awareness classes and demonstrations on environmental protection, disease prevention, yoga, physical exercises and right food habits. The activists motivated public about the important role of exercise in providing men and women of all ages with healthy life.
