Chaudhary Rakesh Singh of the Congress, through a calling attention motion, said that the farmers in the state’s Bhind district were not receiving full benefit of the scheme.

“Farmers who own two hectares of land and also have it registered with the revenue department haven’t got the benefit of the centre’s loan waiver scheme in Bhind district,” he said.

“The banks and welfare institutions too were making wrong entries of land records while the revenue department denies benefit to the farmers,” he added.

Cooperatives Minister Gaurishankar Bisen told the house that the government has been implementing the scheme on the basis of land documents submitted by the farmers and assured that an inquiry would be held into the matter.

“The government has no qualms in verifying the land ownership documents submitted by the farmers with the entry of their land ownership made by the revenue department,” Bisen said.
