Chandigarh : The Punjab Government has constituted a nine-member state wakf board under the Wakf Act, 1995, with immediate effect.
The notification in this regard has already been issued, a spokesperson of Chief Minister’s Office said Tuesday.
MLA Malerkotla Razia Sultana, Abdul Gaffar, Nadeem Anwar, Dilbag Hussian, Mohammed Usman Qureshi, Manju Qureshi, Mohammad Usman Rehmani, Mohanmmad Izhar Alam and Hazi Fazaldin have been nominated as the members of the board, according to the notification.
The nominations against category under sector 14 (1) (b) (iv) of Wakf Act 1995 of Shia members would be made separately, the spokesman added
