“Islam is a religion of peace and has nothing that contradict with world peace”, KU Dean of Sharia and Islamic Studies Dr. Mohammad Al Tabtabai, who is currently visiting Malaysia, told KUNA.

Calling for pursuance of legal methods, Islamic teachings and dialogue as a mean to resolve disputes, he said he was against aggression on any country especially on innocent civilians. He said violence was contradictory to Islamic teachings and world peace.

Military and use of arms by some groups and organizations was not a peaceful solution for stability of Muslims in Islamic countries and muslim minorities in non-muslim states.

Tabtabai said Muslims in these countries were safe and received the support of their brother muslims from all over the world.
