Wellington : Indian student Srikanth Rayadurgam has been missing ever since he withdrew cash from an ATM in the New Zealand city of Auckland over a week ago, and his family now fears the worst.
The family of the 23-year-old is desperately looking for him after the Auckland University of Technology student went missing Oct 1, TVNZ reported Friday.
Rayadurgam’s left shoe, his bag and coat were found stuffed under a rock below the tide line in the Auckland Harbour. His wallet was dumped on a cycle track nearby.
Nagesh Kakanoor, Rayadurgam’s brother-in-law, every day combs the stretch of Auckland Harbour looking for the missing man.
“I’m pleading people across New Zealand, please help me out in finding my brother-in-law,” Kakanoor was quoted as saying.
Rayadurgam, who recently arrived in New Zealand, disappeared after taking out several hundred dollars from a Queen St ATM Oct 1 afternoon.
“He’s been here only seven months, his schedule is very tight. He goes to uni(versity), then back home, that’s it,” said Kakanoor.
