By NNN-APP,

Islamabad : President Asif Ali Zardari Sunday hoped that the US President Barack Obama, as recipient of the Nobel peace prize, will draw world attention to the fair and just solutions of long festering disputes that threaten world peace.

In a letter to the US President on getting the coveted Nobel peace prize, the President felicitated him on behalf of the people of Pakistan and termed it “a strong testament to your visionary leadership and dedicated efforts for the promotion of worthy causes of global peace, nuclear disarmament and climate change.”

“We also have no doubt that, as part of this noble mission, you will draw world attention to the long festering disputes that threaten world peace, including in our region,” he said.

“Fair and just solutions of these issues would usher in a new era of peace and amity,” the President said and assured that “We, in Pakistan, will support you every step of the way.”

He said “Billions of people have been inspired by your bold initiatives for peace and pray for the success of your endeavours to build a safer and better world for our coming generations.”

“I have every confidence that your efforts for conflict resolution, reconciliation, peace and stability, and progress and prosperity will have a transformative effect across the world,” Zardari said.
