New Delhi: Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi will be coming to India next week to participate in a trilateral meeting with his Indian and Russian counterparts, an official said Friday.
The Chinese minister will arrive Oct 26 for the meeting to be held the next day, said an official spokesperson.
The trilateral meeting is to discuss issues of regional importance and “touch upon various issues of mutual concern and mutual interest in the bilateral relationship”, Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao said in an interview to All India Radio.
She said there would be bilateral meetings too and “all issues including issues of concern” would be raised “because it is through discussion, through frank and open discussion and at that level, can we remove misunderstandings”.
Energy security would also be discussed, as well as looking at better connectivity, dialogue between the academic institutions and business and industry relations, she said.
