Hyderabad : The Andhra Pradesh government Thursday declared a two-day mourning and holiday in the state in memory of chief minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, who died in a helicopter crash.
State Chief Secretary P. Ramakant Reddy told reporters there would be a two-day holiday for the state Thursday and Friday.
The chief minister, his special secretary, chief security officer and two pilots died when the helicopter they were travelling in crashed in Nallamalla forests in Kurnool district Wednesday. Their bodies were found Thursday.
