Kuala Lumpur : A Thai Border Patrol police officer was killed and 15 other people were wounded when a car exploded Friday in the country’s southern province of Yala.
The Thai News Agency (TNA) said the car loaded with explosives blew up in front of a famous restaurant in Yala.
The blast injured three border police and 12 local residents and caused damage to a number of cars.
In late August, a car explosion that occurred in southern Thailand in front of a restaurant that was full of government officials led to the injury of more than 42 people.
The explosions came after a series of attacks on government bodies and temples.
The government blames Muslim rebels of the attacks.
